Welcome to a concept of going beyond just the physical aspects of exercise. I would like to introduce a program that encompasses both the Inner Holistic Mind and Body into a workout that gets you strong and fit inside and out!  A workout that involves a warm-up series, cardio, strength and fitness, Pilates and stretching followed by a relaxation session.

An inner holistic program is designed with the principles of connecting the mind and body to control all muscular movements. The results of which are an amazing body transformation and an even bigger transformation from within.  Incorporating stretching and increased grounding of energy to move you in a whole new direction. 

One example of how inner holistic fitness works is through stretching exercises that lengthen muscles and tendons, giving greater flexibility, improving balance, and stamina. In essence, stretching muscle can substantially add value to your life. A holistic exercise approach helps you release tension and become more centered.

Exercise is a great way to bring balance to your life.  A holistic practice is designed to create this balance and it happens with a program that is specifically designed to incorporate the development of the physical body in harmony with the mind and spirit through improved circulation, increased range of motion, while stretching and strengthening the body.

Whether your goal is weight loss or muscle strengthening, the main focus of this holistic practice is to bring awareness of breath and alignment of the spine. Through proper spinal alignment the movements are performed with precise control creating the desired results. When we move beyond just the desire to have a physically attractive body and feel the longing to be well from within, we have crossed into the realization of the inner holistic concept of fitness.

The founding principles of Pilates are based on the teachings of the Joseph Pilates “Method”. Developed by him in the 1920’s as rehabilitation exercises for war victims, this effective series of exercises were embraced by athletes including boxers, dancers and martial artists. Creating a natural bridge between mind and body is what differentiates this inner holistic practice from other forms of exercise.  It was the desire of the original teachers of Pilates to create a holistic environment within the student for ultimate results to be experienced.

Utilizing a combination of Eastern and Western philosophies capable of drawing from diverse exercises, this holistic style delivers tremendous results to students who gain muscle while increasing flexibility.  Pilates strengthens posture, improves self confidence and well-being through fluid movements involving control of the mind over muscles.

Breathing properly in addition to the physical movements will come with practice,  aiding in the mind-body connection. Guidance through this inner holistic routine can be energizing as well as relaxing and can benefit everyone from athletes to the elderly but is not a replacement for one on one rehabilitation.
